ALDERAAN BLOWING UP

When the Death Star blows up Alderaan, we see a new explosion where a large ring blasts out horizontally an moves towards the camera.

DEATH STAR HANGER BAY
When the Falcon is in the Death Star's Hanger bay we see that everything has been enhaced and looks a lot better.  The starfield rotates as well, since the Deat hStar rotates it's good to see that that changed has been made to make it look a bit more realistic.

 

C-3PO TALKING ABOUT TRACTOR BEAM
C-3PO explains that "The tractor beam is coupled to the main reactor in seven locations. A power loss at one of the terminals will allow the ship to leave" This dialog was missing from several video editions, but has been inserted for the special edition. There are a few new sounds added to and the computer screens graphics have been added too.

 

HAN CHASING STORMTROOPERS

When han is chasing a group of Stormtroopers and runs around the corner, we see a lot more stormtroopers, a tie fighter and some Imperial officers in the top left corner.

CLOSE THE BLAST DOORS
When the Stormtroopers are chasing Han one of them now says  "Close the blast doors" But Han and Chewie still make it through just im time.

 

NEW SOUNDS DURING FALCON AND TIE BATTLE
When Luke and Han are using the Targeting computers on the Falcon we hear some new sounds and they sound a lot better than in the original.
